1) Semicolon (;)
A Semicolon is a punctuation mark that is used to connect two clauses into a single sentence. It is also used to separate items in a series.
Example:
a) I could tell she was scared; her hands were trembling!

2) Apostrophe (')
An Apostrophe is a punctuation mark that is used to show possession or ownership of something. It is used to combine two words by leaving out a letter (contraction).
Example:

3) Slash (/)
A Slash is a punctuation mark that is used to a choice between paired or multiple terms. It means 'per', 'or'. It is also used to show an abbreviation.
Example:
a) It is breezy in spring/fall time.

4) Ellipsis (...)
An Ellipsis is a punctuation mark that is used to show an unfinished statement or one to be continued.
It is used to indicate a pause or an interruption.
Also used to show where words have been left out.
Example:
a) I never thought...

In this sentence, Ellipsis is used to indicate an interruption or a pause.

5) Braces ({ })
Braces is a punctuation mark that is used to indicate independent and equal choices in a sentence. It is also used to show a number set.
Example:
a) Pick a color {red, yellow, brown, green} to paint the leaf.
In this sentence, Braces are used to indicate equal choices in a sentence.
b) Plot the points {2.4} and {6.8} on the graph.
In this sentence, Braces are used to show a number set.
6) Hyphen (-)
A Hyphen is used to join words that are meant to be read together. It is also used to spell out numbers. Also to break apart a long word.
Example:
a) My sister works part-time.
In this sentence, the Hyphen is used to join words that are meant to be read together.
b) Do you have fifty-five cents?
In this sentence, the Hyphen is used to spell out the numbers.
7) Dash (---)
A Dash is a punctuation mark that is used to emphasize words or phrases. It is also used to summarize an idea.
Example:
a) The field of snow-white and smooth was an amazing sight to see!
In this sentence, the Dash is used to emphasize words and phrases.
b) Cake and ice cream- perfect for every birthday treat.
In this sentence, the Dash is used to summarize an idea.
